Flattemp - the all-rounder

Our measurement heads of the "Flattemp" series allow a precise and non-contact temperature measurement on flat objects such as strips and foils.

In addition to flat objects, also tubes, rolls and many other applications can be reliably measured with the FLT.

Independent of the material (all metals and all non-metallic materials) and independent of the surface finish (high gloss, matt, coated etc.).

FLT measurement heads combine high performance and easy handling with a very compact design and an overall width of only 80mm.

Due to its exposed heatflow sensors on the top side, the measurement head is able to measure objects of unlimited size and can be positioned at a minimum distance.

As standard four flat guide plates protect the sensor surfaces from any damages.

In the case of non-flat objects such as tubes or rolls, the guide plates can also be individually adapted to the shape of the measured objects.   

This creates an optimal protection against external influences and protects the exposed heatflow sensors from damage.

Two of our large lune heatflow sensors guarantee high precision in non-contact temperature measurement and perfect control of the conductor preheating.

Temperature deviations are detected and communicated to the process control within milliseconds.

No calibration of the sensor is required. The head works reliably and wear-free in any production line - Plug & Play.

The most independent lune measurement head is able to cover line speeds up to 600 m/min (1968 ft/min) with highest precision.

The FLT is suitable for product diameters from 80.0 mm (3.1496”) or above.

You are welcome to use our optional XY-stand to install the measurement head in your production line.
